For our twenty seventh monthly flourishing business community speaker series: stories from the field, the community is delighted to welcome Halyna Zalucky  from Re-Earthing Coaching & Education, based in Toronto, Canada.  Halyna is a social and environmental educator and activist, long time member of the Flourishing Business Community, and holds a micro-certificate in Flourishing Business Model Design from Georgian College / Flourishing Startups.

The Flourishing Enterprise Co-lab is grateful for the support of Social Innovation at Georgian College, Ontario, Canada, to put on our speaker series.

Halyna Zalucky is a wayfinder coach and educator. She works one-on-one with clients to support them in “re-earthing” and coming back to discover their right relationships with people and planet. Collaborating with organizations, she helps them identify their purpose and heighten their positive impact. As an educator in institutions of higher learning, Halyna creates space for students to explore themselves and their role in shaping a flourishing future for all.

Halyna has been researching, studying and working for over 15 years exploring the potential and practical approaches for organizations to bring about “the possibility for humans and all other life to flourish on this planet for generations to come, enhancing the integrity, beauty, and regenerative capacity of living communities.” (with thanks to John Ehrenfeld, MIT and Michelle Holiday).

This led her to emphasize the importance of connection, creativity and consciousness for leaders of any organization that seeks to enable the possibility for flourishing, developing an approach called 3C² (connection, creativity and consciousness).  This living and evolving approach empowers leaders to more effectively work together in a way that allows each member of the team to feel valued, respected and heard. Creativity is heightened through workplace wellbeing and a culture that is able to fail forward, using “misses” as opportunities for growth and innovation. As conscious organizations, impact on all stakeholders is considered when making business decisions, recognizing that environmental and social wellbeing is paramount to success. The core practices of connection, creativity and consciousness are supported by six essential values, namely: collaboration, commitment, compassion, competence, curiosity and courage.

In her talk, Halyna will invite participants to explore and share their feedback on the 3C² approach, along with supporting frameworks and tools, such as the Flourishing Business Canvas (FBC).

At the end of her talk participants will have contributed to the creation of a wayfinding roadmap that incorporates existing tools available to the Flourishing Business Community to guide organizations striving to create the possibility for humans and all other life to flourish.

Halyna’s interactive session will respond to the following questions:

  • How might the 3C² approach help to broaden and deepen the conversation about flourishing enterprise, along with increasing adoption of the FBC and other Flourishing Business tools?
  • What are some potential opportunities and challenges, including AI, in applying this  approach?
  • How did Halyna build her own knowledge of flourishing organizations and the FBC, and what has she gained from her participation in the Flourishing Business Community?

After the event, a video of the talk plus slides will be shared in the “Speaker Series” space of the Flourishing Business Community. Please join other flourishing business leaders and become a full member to access.
