For our twenty ninth monthly flourishing business community speaker series: stories from the field, the community is delighted to welcome Eboni Kris from Eboni Kris Coaching, based in Los Angeles, CA
Eboni is an entrepreneur, business strategist, and educator whose work focuses on helping thoughtful entrepreneurs turn complex thinking into businesses that function in the real world. She holds a Master’s degree in human development and leadership from the University of Missouri and a micro-certificate in Flourishing Business Model Design from Georgian College / Flourishing Startups
The Flourishing Enterprise Co-lab is grateful for the support of Social Innovation at Georgian College, Ontario, Canada, to put on our speaker series.
Eboni’s career began in the nonprofit sector, where she led initiatives focused on education, growth, leadership, and community impact. She later brought this work to the University of Southern California, continuing to lead initiatives in these areas. She eventually transitioned into coaching, where many of her clients were building businesses and trying to move their ideas from thought into practice. This led her to the work she does today.
Eboni Kris Coaching is an independent advisory practice that works with entrepreneurs and business owners developing or expanding their ventures. The practice focuses on helping founders clarify direction, design the structure of their business, and move their work into sustainable operation.
Eboni works with entrepreneurs using the Flourishing Business Canvas, including complex thinkers and founders, some who consider themselves neurodivergent. The canvas serves as a thinking tool that helps organize ideas and move them into real-world execution.
In her presentation, Eboni will discuss:
- How she uses the Flourishing Business Canvas in her coaching work with entrepreneurs
- Common reactions when entrepreneurs first encounter the canvas—both the benefits and the challenges
- Insights from working with complex and non-linear thinkers, and how the canvas supports this style of thinking
- Practical ways facilitators and educators can introduce and use the canvas with different thinkers
- Her hopes for the future of the canvas, including broader use among institutions and practitioners
- What she hopes to contribute to the community
At the end of her talk, Eboni will take questions from members of the community. After the event, a video of the talk plus slides will be shared in the “Speaker Series” space of the Flourishing Business Community. Please join other flourishing business leaders and become a full member to access.
